Wearable radiation detection system

Radiation Sensor Element
The proprietary sensor element is the core the functionality of sealed detection unit technology. The element is made using special material combined by scintillating crystals, which are 20 times more sensitive than a typical Geiger Muller tube and 300 times more sensitive than a PIN diode.
Performance Benefits:-
• Available in wearable or larger static formats
• Weighing 45g with battery fitted, can easily be incorporated within CBRN Protective Suits, either during manufacture or
retrospectively into existing suits.
• Shock proof, dust resistant, and waterproof. Can be machine washed.
• Operating temperature range -30 to +80 Celsius
• Gives an immediate early warning of radiation presence with real time monitoring.
• Records accumulative exposure over a period of time, in accordance with NATO standards (Between the 50mSv occupational dose limit and the 700mSv threshold)
• Sensitive to Alpha, Beta and Gamma rays.
• Can detect deadly radiation presence from over 300m distance
Possible radiation sources include:-
• Nuclear bomb fallout
• Dirty bomb aftermath
• Radioactive dust
• Depleted uranium ammunition exposure
• Medical isotope
Support Package
To fully support the end user the detection unit is coupled with readout electronics. The electronics are proprietary and allow scalable performance and real-time data analysis. The data is transferred as a finished product by using data transfer mode customised for the purpose.
The analysis is made either locally on the ground or remotely.
